Shusherin Yemelianovich Jacob (1753 – 8/8/1813) – Artist of drama and opera (tenor). Born to a poor judicial official. In his youth, served as clerk. In 1772 he entered an actor for a weekend role in the Moscow troupe M. Cave, which also acted as prompter and copyist roles. In the early years of stage work is not a success, but over the years has made great strides. By the end of 1770's. performed in the first film lovers in the comedies and comic operas. In 1780 actor of the Moscow Petrovsky Theatre, where he made his debut in his role tragedian. In 1786 – 1793 Actor of the St. Petersburg Imperial Theatre.
