Zankovetskaya Mary K. (real name Adasovskaya) (22.07 (03.08) .1860 – 4.10.1934), the Ukrainian Soviet actress and theatrical figure, People's Artist of USSR (1922).
Born into an impoverished family of landowners. From an early age performed in amateur theatricals and concerts (had a beautiful mezzo-soprano). In 1882 she made her debut on the professional stage. Worked in the largest Ukrainian company under the arms. ML Kropyvnyts'kogo, MPStarytsky, N. Sadowski, P. Saksaganskogo, IK Karpenko-Kary, etc.
In 1907, together with Sadowski organized the first Ukrainian Theater in Kiev.
