Tarasova Tarasova (25.01 (06.02) .1898 – 04.05.1973), People's Artist of the USSR (1937), Hero of Socialist Labor (1973).

A member of the CPSU from 1954. From 1916 to the Moscow Art Theatre troupe. Student of Stanislavsky and Vl. Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tarasova has always aspired to social, human and artistic truth. Her heroine has charm, anxious feeling of genuine spiritual beauty.

The top creative actresses – the role in plays: Chekhov – Anya (The Cherry Orchard "), Sonya, HELENA (" Uncle Vanya "), Irina, Masha (Three Sisters), A. H. Ostrovsky – Negina ("Talents and admirers"), Tugina ("The Last Sacrifice"), Kruchinina ("Guilty Without Guilt"), Maxim Gorky – Tatiana ("Enemies"), Barbara ("Summer Folk").

With great success playing Anna in "Anna Karenina" by L. H. Tolstoy.

Among the best roles in the Soviet repertoire: Elena ("Days Turbins" Bulgakov), Topilin ("My heart did not forgive" Sofronova), Sofia Ivanovna ("Honor thy father" Lavrentiev).

In film: Catherine ("Thunderstorm", 1934), Catherine ("Peter I", 1937-39) and others

Member of the Supreme Soviet 3-5-th convocations. USSR State Prize (1941, 1946 – twice, 1947, 1949).

2 Awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, 2 other orders and medals.
