Mann Xopac (04.05.1796 – 02.08.1859), American educator and social activist. In 1823 – 1837 practiced law. In 1837 – 1848 led to his initiative created by the Bureau of Education of Massachusetts, in 1848-53 was a member of Congress from that state. Mann defended the right to be free and full development, regardless of race, nationality, religious affiliation and economic status. In 1838 he organized a magazine "Common School Journal" (published in Boston until 1852). Widely known 12 Annual Report on the state of Manna public education in the piece.
