Marecki VP (18 (31) .07.1906), Russian Soviet actress, People's Artist of USSR (1949). In 1924 graduated from the school-studio at the Theatre. Eug. Vakhtangov and joined the Studio under the guidance of A. Zavadsky (later – Studio Theatre at hand. Zavadsky, and in 1936-40 worked in theater Rostov-na-Donu).
Since 1940 the actress of the Moscow Theatre. Moscow City Council. The first significant role: Glafira ("Wolves and Sheep" Ostrovsky), Betty Dorlanzh ("School of defaulters" Verney), in Rostov-on-Don – Love Yarovaya (Love Yarovaya "Tren'ova). Since 1925, acted in movies (Kate – "Tailor from Torzhok"). The popularity earned her the role of Natalia Sokolova in the movie "A member of the Government" (1940).
Among the best theater roles: Mirandolina ("Innkeeper" Goldoni), Masha (Masha, Afinogenov), Nadezhda Durova ("Nadezhda Durova" Lipskerov and Kochetkova) Zhyvka ("Mrs. ministersha" Nushicha), in the film – Praskovya Lukyanovna ("It defending the country ", 1943), and Barbara V. (" Rural teacher, 1947).
For art Maretsky bold and vivid theatricality organically as well as sincerity and lyrical expression. Lyrical role of actress different sharpness and brightness of the form, and in most of caricature and grotesque exaggerations Marecki preserves natural charm.
In the long-term cooperation with Zavadsky deeply popular talent Marecki absorbed to achieve psychological and innovative Moscow Art Theater School opening of the Soviet theater 20-ies.
USSR State Prize (1942, 1946, 1948, 1951). Awarded four orders and medals.
