Bubnov, Andrey Sergeyevich (23.03 (04.04) .1883 – 1.12.1940), Soviet politician and activist, historian and publicist.
Tsp. Communist Party since 1903. Born in the family textile factory manager. He studied at Moscow the agricultural institute, where expelled for revolutionary activities.
In 1905 tsp. Ivanovo-Voznesensky RSDLP Committee, in 1906 tsp. Bureau of Ivanovo-Voznesensky Union RSDLP. Member of 4-th (1906) and 5 th (1907) Congresses RSDLP.
In 1907 tsp. Moscow Committee RSDLP. In 1908 tsp. Reg. Bureau RSDLP Central Industrial District. In 1909-17 led the party operation in Nizhny Novgorod, Sormovo, St. Petersburg, Samara and other cities. Was repeatedly subjected to reprisals.
In 1910 he was co-opted to the Bolshevik center in Russia. At the 6 th (Prague) All-Russian Conference RSDLP (1912) elected as a candidate tsp. RSDLP. From 1912 worked in "Pravda". After the February Revolution of 1917 tsp. Moscow region. Bureau RSDLP (b). The delegate of the 7 th (April) conference RSDLP (b) at the 6 th Party Congress elected in RSDLP (b), was the representative of the Central Committee in Petrograd to-those RSDLP (b).
At the meeting of the CC 10 (23) October 1917 he was elected to the Politburo, Central Committee meeting on October 16 (29) October 1917 – in the military-revolutionary party center to guide the October armed uprising; tsp. Contribute actively to the life of the law on compulsory primary education, was a supporter of polytechnic education, paid much attention to ideological teaching, struggled with distortions in the content and teaching methodology. At the 8 th, 11 th, 12 th Congress of the RCP (b) elected as a candidate tsp. CC and 13-17-m – tsp. Party Central Committee. A tsp. Central Executive Committee and Central Executive Committee.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner.
Bubnov – author of several major works on the history of the communist.
