Skorel Jan Van (01/08/1495 – 06/12/1562) Netherlandish painter. The representative romanizma. Got versatile humanist education, studying painting in Utrecht Y. Gossaert (since 1516). In 1518 – 1524 traveled to Germany, Switzerland, Italy, visited Palestine, was the keeper of the ancient monuments of the Belvedere in Rome. The best Skorela different sonority of color, poetic landscape backgrounds; Skorel performed a number of realistic portraits ("Pilgrims to Jerusalem", Central Museum, Utrecht; Museum F. Hals, Haarlem).
