Tropinin Vasily Andreyevich (1776 – 1857) – painter-portraitist, was born a serf gr. Markov, who later released him to freedom. Nine-year-old has been identified in their master students of the Imperial Academy of Arts, formed in it under the guidance of Shchukin and, having finished her course in 1804, settled in Moscow, where he worked until his death. In 1823 the Academy presented to obtain academic degrees, three of his works: the portrait engraver ES Skotnikov, the painting "The Lacemaker" (located in Moscow weeks to celebrate UNESCO.
