Galina Ulanova (08/01/1910 – 09/22/1998), was born in St. Petersburg.
When they arrive at the Leningrad Choreographic School, the first time engaged in it with his mother MF Romanova, and then a famous teacher, Vaganova.
After graduating in 1928 study, Galina Ulanova was admitted to the Theatre of Opera and Ballet Theatre. Kirov (since 1992 is the Mariinsky Theatre), making his debut in the ballet of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.
In 1941, Galina Ulanova was awarded the Stalin Prize (Ulanova three more became its winner – in 1946, 1947 and 1950).
In 1944, Galina moved to Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre, having worked on its stage until 1960.
In 1951, Galina Ulanova was awarded the title People's Artist of the USSR. Ulanova's talent was recognized not only in the Soviet Union, but also far beyond. So, with great success have been Bolshoi Theater in 1956 in London, largely thanks inimitable art Galina Ulanova.
Galina Ulanova was the only dancer in the world, which during his lifetime were installed monuments – in Stockholm and Leningrad.
