Born December 25, 1971 in Leningrad.
His father – actor Boris Galkin, mother – screenwriter Elena Demidova.
In 1989-1992 he studied at the Drama School BV Shchukin (course leader – A. Burov).
In 1999 he graduated from the directing department of State Institute of Cinematography, where his mentor was Vladimir Khotinenko.
The debut in the film – the role of Huckleberry Finn in the movie Stanislav Govorukhin "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn" (then Vlad was nine years old, was playing under the name Vlad Sukhachev).
In 1988, played a major role in the movie "Aboriginal (director Elena Nikolaeva). The film won the Grand Prix at the international film festival in Florence.
