			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Shakhovskoy Alexander (24.04 (05.05) .1777 &#8211; 22.01 (03.02) .1846), Prince, Russian writer, theatrical figure. Academician of the Russian Academy (1810). He graduated from the Noble Boarding School of Moscow University (1792). In 1802 &#8211; 1826 actually led the St. Petersburg drama troupe. In 1811 &#8211; 1815 Member of the &quot;Conversations amateurs Russian word. Written more than 100 pieces (vaudeville, historical plays, alteration works of European authors), among which are the prosaic play New Stern &quot;(staged in 1805), directed against the sentimentalism and the like-narrative comedy&quot; The Lesson of the yoke, or Lipetsk Waters &quot;(1815 ). Plays Shakhovsky differed intrigue and interest-oriented vernacular. His goon gnomic verse (using raznostopnogo iambic) verse foretold, Woe from Wit &quot;ASGriboedov. </p>
